REQUIREMENTS : Three (3) years National Diploma (NQF6)/ Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF7) in Labour Relations/ Labour Law/ LLB/ BCOM Law. Two (2) years practical ride in Inspection & Enforcement Services, A legitimate drivers licence. Knowledge: Departmental insurance policies and procedures, Employment Service Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, COIDA, SABS Codes, Unemployment Insurance Act, UI Contribution Act, Employment Equity Act, Immigration Act. Skills: Facilitation Skills, Planning and organising, Computer literacy, Interpersonal skills, Conflict coping with skills, Negotiation skills, Problem fixing skills, Interviewing skills, Presentation skills, Innovative, Analytical, Verbal and written verbal exchange skills.
DUTIES : Plan and independently habits substantial inspections with the intention of making sure compliance with all labour legislations, namely, Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA). Plan and execute investigations independently on stated instances pertaining to contravention of labour law and put into effect as and when quintessential which include making preparations for and performing in Court as a State witness. Plan, allotted and conduct proactive (Blitz) inspections typically to display compliance with labour regulation which includes compilation and consolidation of reviews emanating from such inspections, Conduct Advocacy Campaigns on all Labour law regularly, Manage the finalisation of documents of instances obtained and investigations performed through the inspectors. Contribute at a administration degree of planning, drafting and upkeep of regional inspection plans and reviews which includes execution of evaluation and compilation of consolidated statistical reviews on regional and allotted cases. Manage the reference of non-complying employers for prosecution, Responsible for body of workers managing sources of the Unit.
