REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic reading, writing and numerical skills. Experience: Appropriate Large Scale Hospital Catering experience. Appropriate journey of therapeutic diets, meals groups, instruction and cooking methods, and fantastic and component manage of meals in accordance to standardized recipes. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to speak in at least two of the three legit languages of the Western Cape. Incumbents have to be organized to work shifts and extra time which encompass weekends and public holidays. Proof of attendance of a Kitchen Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaner, or Assistant Chef will be an introduced advantage. Ability to characteristic inside a crew and work below pressure.
DUTIES : Preparation and manufacturing of all regular and therapeutic diets in accordance with the WCG Food Service Policy. Follow standardised WCG Receipts and Menus. Weighing, dishing and distribution of meals to quite a number wards. Clean and hold the kitchen location and gear as nicely as adhere to fitness and security regulations. Dress in accordance to Departmental specs and adhere to Hospital / WCG Policy. Follow and adhere to Health and Safety prescripts. Follow and adhere to basic manage measures and widespread operational procedures.
