REQUIREMENTS : An Honours Degree in Environmental Management/Sciences or applicable fields (NQF8) plus three – 5 years’ ride required in a applicable field. Knowledge of environmental and improvement problems (globally, regionally, locally). Knowledge of atmospheric chemistry and industry procedure applications. Extensive know-how of local weather trade mitigation issues, together with felony and coverage frameworks and different barriers, the economics and technical necessities of low carbon development, Carbon finance etc. Knowledge of South Africa’s greenhouse fuel emission profile and local weather alternate mitigation. Ability to habits research, collect and analyse information. Ability to conduct
greenhouse fuel emission reviews. Ability to habits social financial analysis. DUTIES : Coordinate all records series efforts on greenhouse gasoline emission sources in South Africa. Administer and hold the National GHG Inventory Management System (NGHGIS) for South Africa. Ensure that NGHGIS databases are covered and no unauthorized get entry to is allowed. Capturing and archiving of data used in emissions stock development. Implement the GHG Improvement programme. Plan and put in force GHG stock enchancment programmes. Administer the country wide GHG emissions reporting programme for South Africa. Provide cease consumer aid and education to GHG reporting entities on reporting requirements. Constantly evaluating education desires for reporting entities. Developing and updating general operating procedures concerning to the a number elements of the GHG emissions reporting system. Managing of reference facts in the GHG reporting gadget and making sure that it is in line with modern worldwide and nearby technical reporting guidelines. Compile the National GHG Inventory for South Africa. Draft National emissions stock document on an annual basis.
