REQUIREMENTS : Senior certificates or Grade 12, Diploma/Degree in nursing or equal qualification that approves registration with the South African Nursing Council. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. A minimal of 10 years appropriate/ recognizable journey in nursing after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. At least 5 years of the length referred to above ought to be appropriate/recognizable trip at administration level. A legitimate driver’s license. Knowledge and Skills: Qualification in Psychiatry, Nursing Management/ Administration/ Health Care Management and Nursing Education. In depth expertise and appreciation of Health-related Acts, Regulations, Guidelines and different associated insurance policies such as; Nursing Act and Regulations, Health Act, Code of Ethics, Professional Scope of Practice Act Occupational Health and Safety Act, Mental Health Care Act. Knowledge and perception of the legislative framework governing the Public Service including: Skills Development Act, Public Development Act, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Grievance Procedure and Disciplinary Code Procedures.
DUTIES : Ensure that holistic nursing care provider is delivered to sufferers in a value effective, environment friendly and equitable manner through the Head of Nursing Service of the Institution such as the general administration (i.e Operational HR and Finance thereof. Ensure compliance to expert and moral practices. Develop and monitor the implementation of policies, programmes, regulations, practices, methods and requirements pertaining to nursing care. Provide instruction and management toward the awareness of strategic dreams and goals of the division.
